Bermondsey Beer Mile

One of the best food markets in London can be found in Bermondsey and goes by the name of Maltby Street Market. However this awesome market is not only a food mecca for every self-respecting Londoner, but also the kick-off point for one of our very favourite pub crawls, the Bermondsey Beer Mile. Nowadays this adventure incorporates around 20 stops in just shy of 2 miles now, and shows no signs of slowing.

You start off at Southwark Brewing on Druid Street right around the corner from Maltby Street, and finish at the excellent Fourpure, a massive space where you can spend the rest of the evening. Other faves along the way are Hawkes Cider (who make a great pineapple cider), Hiver (for some honey-infused drinks), Brew by Numbers, the ever-famous Kernel, and our personal quirky love of Spartan. Love it.

You’ll need a whole day for this one, make sure you start off with a big ol’ breakfast beforehand and add plenty of food stops along the way to keep you going.
