Forty Hall Vineyard
Sometimes the city becomes a bit too overwhelming and we crave getting back to nature, the outdoors, the fresh air on our faces. A short trip out of London gets you to Forty Hall Vineyard, a beautiful estate where flocks of geese wade through the waters, farm animals laze around their yards, and people can be seen meandering through the serene grounds. Even before you get to the vineyards you will be feeling the worries of London falling off you.
FHV is a real community and they rely on volunteers to help them in the vineyards to look after the vines through the year as well as help with the harvesting around September. The volunteering is not only helpful for them but also for the volunteers. Getting out into nature, getting your hands dirty in the fields, and spending some time with like-minded lovely people - it does wonders for your happiness and stress levels. The volunteers are amazing, and the people behind the whole venture too. If you’ve got some spare time and are looking for a great way to give back then this could be exactly the right place for you.
