Barge East
Sitting on the peaceful canals of Hackney Wick is Barge East, a great hang out spot for all you sunshine-seekers. This 120 year old barge is a hotspot for a whole load of fun. Originally just a restaurant on a boat with excellent food, over lockdown this team expanded their premises to encompass a huge area right by the canal so you can grab seats right by the water for drinks or food as you want.

Their huge gardens are the perfect location for whiling away the summer days with friends over a frozen margarita or bottle of rosé. Even during the winter this space is full of cosy little nooks where you can wrap up with blankets and hot water bottles. Additionally the gardens help supply a whole load of the produce that is used in the kitchen so whether you are in their fantastic kitchen or grabbing some street food in the gardens, you know you’re getting great quality.
