Cadet
Cadet is the brand new wine bar kitchen from the brilliant mind of Tom Beattie, previously of P Franco fame. Based in the hidden gem food neighbourhood that is Newington Green, this wine bar couldn’t be more perfectly suited to its location. And you can tell that people love this place. We arrived just past 6pm and only just got a table. Don’t worry though, there’s a constant flux of people throughout the evening.

So what’s the fuss about? The food is French-inspired and delicious, with flavour combinations that bring this slightly antiquated cuisine right into the modern day. Then add in the exceptional wine pairings. This is where we found our happy place. The love and care that has obviously been put into the wine collection here is key to the success of Cadet. Every wine is chosen to perfectly compliment your tastes, and the stories and explanations that Tom and his team bring will have us going back again and again.
