The Waterside Café

Regent’s Park is one of London’s most gorgeous, tranquil and charming parks. Whether it’s full-blown sunshine summertime or a sparkling frosty winter’s day, this is a fantastic place for a long leisurely walk. And the perfect spot to pause for a rest stop along your way is the new Waterside Café, in prime place right by the boating lake. This wonderful new café is cute and quaint with a super cosy atmosphere where you can prop yourself up by the window and watch the wildlife (cormorants!) go about their business while you sip on a coffee, hot chocolate or mint tea with honey, mmmmmm…

The food ain’t half bad either - all day breakfasts, burgers (understatedly delicious), sandwiches and salads are all on offer. Leave room for dessert as well as there plenty to choose from, including our favourite millionaire shortbread.

Add onto this the fact that the staff are all great and there’s a real community feel about the place. Little details like the bags of used coffee grounds for you to pick up to use as fertiliser in your garden made us smile. Put all of this together and you have a real warm ray of sunshine that needs a visit.
