Hoppers
Sri Lankan wonder cooking.
Nestled in the midst of Soho you can find one of the most moorish Asian restaurants in London, specifically taking on Sri Lankan and South Indian dishes. Similar to Dishoom, the venue endears itself immediately with its authentic touches, transporting you immediately to a place far far away where you can switch off, grab a glass of some sort of Arrack cocktail and eat to your heart’s content.
And here, food is king. It’s all about the dosas and hoppers (obvs) - essentially bowl and funnel shaped pancakes that are insanely good. You then get a bunch of karis (curries) and chutneys to have with them, and embrace the delicious flavours. There are also plenty of other dishes on top of this - don’t miss the bone marrow varuval or the beef rib fry.
Food of the day: Honestly, everything on this menu is exceptional but if in doubt ask your friendly waiter and they’ll look after you. One word of warning - you will be rolling out of here so just don’t have anything too strenuous planned for after ;)
