Truly the best food and wine experience.
For ten years or so P. Franco has consistently been one of, if not the, best restaurant in London. Having started out at as a wine bar, this small venue in Clapton is very simple - one huge wooden island in the middle of their cosy space which everyone sits at, surrounded by wine bottles on every wall. They then added a few hobs at the end of the table and started introducing food onto the menu. Their popularity exploded.
Nowadays they have regularly changing guest chefs (who are all amazing) so you can always expect new and exciting menus every time you go. The wines continue to be curated to perfection and all the staff will talk till dawn about the bottles on offer. If you are into your wine and food then this is absolutely the must visit venue in London.
Tip of the day: Although you can pick and choose from the food menu, you might as well just get one of everything, it’s that good. And then get the staff to pick wine pairings for all the dishes. Life does not get much better than this.
