10. The Ciderhouse E7

The Ciderhouse E7 in Forest Gate is one of our favourite off-the-beaten-track venues in London with plenty of outdoor seating as well as great vibes inside if the weather isn’t playing ball. Step inside, and you'll be greeted by the warm glow of twinkling lights and the inviting aroma of freshly brewed cider.

It's like stepping into your grandma's kitchen, but instead of cookies, you've got rows upon rows of cider waiting to be explored. From traditional dry ciders to funky fruit blends, there's a cider here to suit every taste. And it’s not just all about the ciders here, with comedy evening, music events, and food to make everyone happy.

9. The Crown & Shuttle

When the Water Poet closed in 2019 there was a massive hole in the Shoreditch drinks scene that could not be filled, that is until we stumbled upon the Crown & Shuttle. The King is Dead, Long Live the King! This absolutely gorgeous boozer does everything right… huge suntraps outdoors, great comfort food, banging vibes all day every day, and a lovely selection of drinks including a few cheeky ciders. Right now you can find Gravity Theory on draught which works for us very nicely.

And for something a little bit different you can even join the Monday night weekly life drawing classes hosted by the East London Strippers Collective, yeah we know, only in a proper East London boozer, right??

8. The Williams Ale & Cider House

We love a night out around Spitafields Market. There’s a fantastic bunch of pubs around the area, none more fun than the Williams Ale & Cider House which stands as a testament to East London's rich pub culture. True to its name, the Williams Ale & Cider House boasts an extensive range of ales and ciders. The knowledgeable staff are always on hand to offer recommendations, making it easy to find your new favorite drink, there’s plenty of ciders to try.

The Williams offers a quintessential London pub experience with a modern twist, making it a perfect spot to relax and get yourself a delicious cider. This might became your new lovely local fave.

7. The London Cider House

Right in the middle of one of London’s busiest food markets is a little oasis of appleness that we absolutely love. Borough Market has plenty of little hidden gems and The London Cider House is one of our very favourites. And this cosy little spot is also a favorite among locals and tourists alike, thanks to its friendly staff and killer cider selection.

Whether you're in the mood for a crisp, dry cider or something a bit more adventurous, you'll find plenty to love at The London Cider House. So, come on down, this place is perfect for some daytime drinks, grab a glass, and get ready to taste the magic!

6. The Harp

Well this one is definitely not off the beaten track. Right slap bang in the centre of London, just off Covent Garden, this traditional pub might be in the middle tourist central but we can absolutely vouch for this exceptional joint. We can’t even be annoyed with all the lovely tourists obsessed with this place - it’s as traditional a pub you could imagine, and exactly what you would imagine in your mind’s eye when thinking of an old school traditional inn.

The drinks are carefully sourced, with both modern and traditional ale selections, and some fantastic ciders and perries to boot. You have to hand it to them, our lovely friends Fuller’s know how to do a great pub that remains unusually enjoyable yet amazingly well run.

5. The Fox

What does the fox say? Probably something like, "Oi, come have some amazing drinks with me at The Fox in Shoreditch, ya plonker". This funky little joint is a hidden gem in the heart of Shoreditch, with its eclectic decor and awesome atmosphere. This is one of the only old school boozers in East London that is an iconic loaction and always guaranteed a fantastic time.

Whether you're a cider aficionado, wanting somewhere to watch the big game, or just looking for a fun night out, The Fox has got you covered. There’s a really stunning selection of drinks, some delicious Asian street food to line the stomach (mmmm gyoza, bao, karaage, banh mi, mmmm), and you can even get your karaoke on if you’re that way inclined. Embrace your inner Mariah.

4. Hawkes Cidery & Taproom

If you’re getting involved with the Bermondsey Beer Mile you’ll hit this fantastic taproom near the start of your journey. Right around the corner from Maltby Street Market is this cider emporium with over 15 different types of cider, pizza to line the stomachs and, if you’ve got time, tours of their brewery running pretty often.

Personally we absolutely LOVE the Pineapple Punch as there is nothing more summery than this fruity concoction. So, grab a seat, raise a glass, and get ready to embark on a journey through the wonderful world of cider. Whether you're a cider connoisseur or a curious newcomer, there's something here for everyone to enjoy.

3. The Southampton Arms

This gorgeous no-nonsense pub near Hampstead Heath brings us so much joy. This is a proper boozer. A big ol’ hug of a place that’s the perfect location to spend a lazy afternoon or a fun evening with friends whiling away the hours with a lovely pint of the good stuff. And it really is good stuff, expertly selected from only deliciously independent UK breweries, across 18 handpulls full of beer and cider.

At The London 100 we strongly value community and sustainability, and The Southampton Arms really does care hugely about the local pub and brewery indsutry, supporting and shining a light on creative small businesses. Bravo!

2. The Wenlock Arms

Sitting on a corner of a little street off Regent’s Canal, between Angel and Old Street is a lovely little traditional drinking hole. Yes they have a fantastic group of ales, with eight regularly changing handpulls, but ooooweeee we love their ciders, including Celtic Marches, Cheddar Valley, Worleys, Olivers and much more.

Find yourself a little table near some friendly pub dog that needs cuddles, get a game of darts going, or huddle around the piano for a raucous singalong. This is a place that is perfect for any occasion. Plus any place where we can get ourselves a Pieminster pie is alright in our books.

1. The Euston Tap

This cozy spot in Euston is a haven for cider lovers looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. In a truly unique location right outside Euston station, this opulent throwback to the days of yore is one of our very favourite old school boozers in London. With its laid-back vibes and killer cider selection, it's the perfect place to kick back and relax with a pint of the good stuff.

Many a night have we finished off a hard day’s work and rocked up here for a cheeky bevvy just to leave 5 hours later in much merrier spirits, it’s just that kinda place. Bustling in the winter and wonderful in the sunshine this could be your home away from home too.
