Columbia Road Flower Market
For the past 150 years or so Columbia Road has been home to the UK’s best and favourite flower market. Every Sunday the road is full of traders selling the most beautiful plants, bedding plants, shrubs, bulbs, and freshly cut flowers. Taking a stroll down this picturesque scene is one of London’s most underrated experiences. The colours, the scents, the banter from the traders, the buzz in the air. It all adds up to a surprisingly exciting walk.

And to our surprise the flowers on sale are really reasonable compared to normal London prices. Plus it’s not just flowers any more as there are plenty of cute cafes, trendy little antique shops and artefact stores. This is a full on day out. And if you have enough energy at the end, head over to Hackney City Farm to say hello to the animals ;)
