Dishoom

If you want some of the best Indian food in the UK it’ll be hard to find any better than Dishoom. Based on old school cool Bombay cafes from the turn of the last century these venues ooze charm and comfort. What sets Dishoom apart from others is its ability to maintain its identity and quality while being able to grow, something other restaurants chains have mostly failed to do. Each of its five London locations have their own soul by excel in that Dishoom spirit.

As for the food, this is why we all keep going back. You can’t go wrong as everything has so much flavour, but there are always the standouts. Their House Black Daal is an exceptional signature dish that you will need plenty of Roomali Roti to mop up. And I could eat a wheelbarrow-full of Chicken Ruby, it’s that good. Additionally, if you find yourself there for breakfast instead of dinner then their Bacon Naan Rolls are so good that every other enterprise is trying to steal their ideas. You can even get the home meal kit for these - definitely worth it!
