Humble Chicken
Did you know that in the heart of Soho you can find the heart of Japan? Say こんにちわ (or konnichiwa) to @humblechicken_uk from @missionsato. This buzzing little counter-eating restaurant does no-nonsense Japanese cooking that will whisk you away to Tokyo in seconds.

🐓 The majority of the menu is dedicated to yakitori (Japanese chicken skewers) and I can completely agree with our wonderful waiter who told us the best thing on the menu is always the last thing you ate. We had chicken breast with Japanese plum, salt and pepper thigh, charcoal fat achilles (!), shichimi wing and ponzu shoulder, as well as a cheeky egg yolk meatball, aaaaaand take a breath, every one more amazing than the last.

🍗 To top it off, my favourite dish on the menu, and the real showstopper - the Crispy Chicken Leg. The unassuming flavour concoctions here really took me back to my trip to Japan a few years ago and is the closest I have been to actually eating proper Japanese food since coming back to London, especially when paired with a heavenly sake. Thank you for bringing those amazing memories back, arigato gozaimasu! 🇯🇵 🙌
