New kid on the block Tom’s Pasta has shown us how good a plate of pasta really can be. Located in Hackney Down Studios, where all the trendy people are hanging out nowadays, is this no nonsense ode to Italian cuisine. It’s all very laidback and bare-bones but the atmosphere is on point, with everyone having a great time, customers, staff, and Tom included. Although the menu is changing all the time, it doesn’t really matter as every dish we’ve had there has been write-home-to-your-parents good. Burrata + Sourdough. Pappardelle with Beef Ragu. Buttery Garlic Bread. Tiramisu. Absolute Italian staples and absolute gold here. Oh and don’t forget Tom’s signature lasagna. To die for.
