ArcelorMittal Orbit Slide

The ArcellorMittal Orbit might look like a red abstract monstrosity that a 10 year old kid designed, buuuuuuut once you get over that it’s actually a whole loada fun. Wandering through the Olympic Park towards this enormous structure gets the excitement levels up which only grows as you get closer. And once you take the lift up to the viewing platforms you get some of, if not the, best views across London.

.

So you come to the slide - which is the tallest and longest (178m) slide in the world. The actual slide is incredibly fun, as you alternate between transparent sections where you can catch glimpses of the views, and dark sections that get the adrenalin going. 12 turns later and you hit the ‘bettfeder’ or ‘bedspring’ at the bottom of the slide to end your trip to the bottom. It might feel like the time flew by but that adrenalin rush will be with you all day long.
