It’s amazing to live in a metropolis like London and still have access to so many green spaces, so much wildlife, a world of nature at our fingertips. Down in Kennington Park you can actually take a step closer and get to know our fluffy honey-making brethren first-hand.

Get geared up in some beekeeping gear (very flattering) and join your host who will show your the apiaries and how they take care of the bees here. You will be given an opportunity to smoke a hive and open it up to have a look at what’s inside, maybe even see the queen!

Must do: Do yourself and get a few jars of their homemade honey - I’ve still got a jar in my cupboard and you’re not going to find anything in the supermarket half as good as this.
