Get back to nature in the middle of the city.
A real hidden gem this one - every other Sunday you can head over to Deptford, grab yourself a pair of wellies and a mud stick, and be guided out into Deptford Creek to learn all about the weird and wonderful story of the creek, its meandering history, the architecture surrounding it and the nature that is all around.
You make your way out at low tide so you can actually head out onto the mudbanks and, with the help of the local experts who will guide you along the creek, you can find out all about the area. Who knows, you might even find some treasure hidden in the mud!
Must do: Wrap up warm! Can get very blustery out there so gloves, scarf, hat, all very welcome :) and maybe plan some other fun stuff in Deptford afterwards as this is a great area and well worth the exploration.
